FAQ: Shipping, Packaging, Customs & Logistics

When sourcing LED smart mirrors, infinity abyss mirrors and custom decorative mirrors from overseas manufacturers, packaging safety, shipment schedules and customs clearance are common pain points for buyers of all sizes. Broken glass during transit, unclear shipping terms, complicated import formalities or unexpected customs delays may disrupt your project timeline and increase procurement costs.

This FAQ page covers packaging solutions, MOQ, production lead times, shipping methods, Incoterms®, customs clearance support and logistics arrangements from YUSUN SMART. It addresses questions from large wholesale importers, hotel project contractors, small retailers and individual buyers for both standard and custom OEM / ODM mirror orders.

Packaging & Product Protection

Q: What packaging options do you offer for smart mirrors and glass mirror products?

A: We provide multi‑layer export‑grade packaging. Standard package uses foam corner protection + inner foam cushion + 5‑ply outer carton. For bulk commercial orders, we offer plywood crates or fumigation‑free wooden pallets to minimize breakage risk for large‑size mirrors. Custom branded packaging, printed boxes and private‑label packaging are available for OEM projects upon request.

Q: How do you prevent glass breakage during international shipping?

A: Mirror panels are protected with EPE foam padding and hard corner guards. All finished units are fixed firmly inside the package to avoid shifting during transit. Before loading, we inspect packaging integrity. For high‑value large‑size mirrors, wooden crate packaging is strongly recommended. Breakage rate is greatly reduced with reinforced packaging.

Q: Can I customize the packaging box with my brand logo and artwork?

A: Yes. Custom printed boxes with your logo, brand graphics and product specifications are supported for bulk orders. MOQ for custom packaging is separate from product MOQ. Our team can provide packaging template for your design review.

MOQ & Production Lead Time

Q: What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for smart mirror orders?

A: MOQ varies by item: 50 / 100 / 500 pcs, subject to specific mirror models. Standard ready‑to‑ship items support small batch orders. Customized mirrors with bespoke size, frame, touch function or special finish require higher MOQ. Contact our sales team to get exact MOQ for your target mirror model.

Q: What is your typical production lead time after deposit confirmation?

A: Normally 15–18 working days upon receipt of deposit for standard mirror orders. Longer lead time may apply subject to order quantity and custom‑process complexity. Urgent orders are supported. Complex OEM & ODM custom projects with new moulding, special glass etching or custom electronics will have extended lead time. Lead time will be confirmed on your formal PI and updated if any adjustments happen during production.

Shipping Methods & Incoterms

Q: What shipping terms do you support for international mirror shipments?

A: For regular bulk orders, we only accept EXW and FOB Guangzhou (Nansha). FOB Shenzhen (Yantian) is available upon request. DDP door‑to‑door service is only available for sample shipments or small‑value orders that meet our minimum‑order requirements. All Incoterms follow Incoterms®2020 rules. The quoted price excludes ocean freight and cargo insurance.

Q: What transport options are available for mirror cargo?

A: We offer sea freight for large bulk orders, air freight for urgent small cargo and express courier for sample shipments. Sea freight is cost‑effective for full container loads (FCL) and less‑than‑container loads (LCL). Air and express delivery are suitable for prototypes and small trial orders.

Q: Who selects the freight forwarder for my shipment?

A: You can use your nominated freight agent, or we can assign our trusted cooperative forwarder to handle the shipment. Both options are acceptable and we will coordinate loading and document preparation accordingly.

Customs Clearance Support (For Business Buyers)

Q: What customs documents will you provide for commercial importers?

A: We supply commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading / airway bill, certificate of origin and product certification files such as CE, RoHS, FCC for customs declaration. Additional documents can be prepared if your country has special import requirements.

Q: Can you assist with customs clearance for bulk commercial orders?

A: We can provide all required export documents and product compliance certificates for your local customs declaration. For business buyers with valid import license, your local customs broker will handle import clearance. We can support document review before shipment.

Q: Are there special import regulations for LED smart mirrors in my country?

A: Import rules vary by territory. Some markets require safety certificates, product labeling or energy‑related documents. Please share your destination country with our sales team, we will confirm required compliance files before production.

Customs Clearance Support (For Small Retailers & Individual Buyers)

Q: I am a small retailer / individual buyer without import clearance qualification. Can I still place an order?

A: Yes, but DDP door‑to‑door service applies only to samples or small‑value orders meeting our MOQ criteria. For regular bulk purchases without import clearance capability, you will need to engage your own local customs broker. Size & cargo‑value restrictions for DDP shipments apply.

Q: What does DDP shipping include? Are there hidden charges?

A: Under DDP term (available only for samples / eligible small‑MOQ orders), shipping cost, export formalities, import customs duties and taxes are included in the quoted price. No extra customs fees will be charged upon delivery, subject to destination‑country cargo restrictions and inspection exceptions. Bulk orders cannot use DDP.

Cargo Insurance, Delivery & After‑Shipment

Q: Can we buy cargo insurance for the shipment?

A: Yes. Cargo transportation insurance can be added upon request to cover damage or loss during transit. Insurance premium is calculated based on total cargo value and will be listed separately in quotation.

Q: What should I do if damaged goods are found when receiving the package?

A: Please inspect packages before signing delivery receipt. Take clear photos and short videos of outer packaging and damaged items immediately. Notify our sales team within 48 hours of goods arrival. We will assess the situation and discuss compensation solutions according to shipping agreement.
